Best-selling author and pastor Tim Keller writes, “To know how to meditate on and delight in the Bible is the secret to a relationship with God and to life itself” (The Songs of Jesus, p.1).

Unfortunately, many Christians do not feed themselves on God’s Word regularly. They may be well fed by the preaching in their church, and listen to great teaching online, but many Christians don't know how to open up the Bible for themselves. For many followers of Jesus, the Scriptures stay unopened and unread, either because they lack the skills, they feel inadequate, or the Bible looks too daunting.

This seminar seeks to help everyday followers of Jesus to feel confident in studying the Bible for themselves.
Over one Saturday together, it aims to do three things:

  • it teaches people a process to follow in studying the Scriptures;

  • it provides some tools to use that are introduced through the day;

  • and it seeks to build confidence that anyone can dive into the Scriptures and feed themselves.

Feast is an invitation for ordinary Christians to come and be equipped to handle God’s Word for themselves.

"Brad Carr is an outstanding expositor of Scripture and brings the Bible alive
in a way that is clear, creative, and compelling.
I always appreciate his faithfulness to the biblical text, his quintessential kiwi style, and his insightful application.
We’re looking forward to hosting his 'Feast' seminar at Shore, which will be an excellent next step
in helping people become self-feeders on the Word of God."
